About the Role
Our Strategic Planners provide strategic asset allocation advice to private individuals in relation to the fee-based Discretionary Managed Portfolio Services of WEALTH at work, delivering a first class customer experience to our clients across the private and public sector.
About You
Successful candidates will possess the following key qualities and experience:
Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
Understand and be able to explain in generic terms the merits and detractions of all investment types
Be able to explain effectively the benefits of discretionary portfolio management versus the detractions of static management of investments portfolios or product based propositions.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment, role of the Financial Conduct Authority, money laundering regulations and data protection
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Accurate and numerate
Drive and initiative to work on own or as part of a team
Working knowledge of computer based applications such as Word and Excel

Wealth at Work Ltd. carries out DBS checks, at a level appropriate for each role, as part of our recruitment process. The Strategic Planner role is subject to a Standard DBS check. Checks are completed through the Disclosure and Barring Service, following a successful interview and conditional offer. Details of these checks are restricted to the HR Team and will not be shared with recruiting managers unless specific permission is sought and agreed in writing.

ID and Financial Checks
Wealth at Work., as a Financial Services firm regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, carries out ID and Financial checks at a level appropriate for each role as part of our recruitment process. Checks are completed through Experian, following a successful interview and conditional offer. Details of these checks are restricted to the HR Team and not shared with recruiting managers unless specific permission is sought and agreed in writing.
Senior Managers & Certification Regime
The Strategic Planner role, as a position regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, is subject to the Senior Managers & Certification Regime. Offers are conditional on the completion of regulated reference checks covering the last 6 years in line with the requirements of the regime. Regulated references alongside DBS and ID and Financial checks are used to make a fit and proper assessment as required by the FCA and any offer is only formalised once these checks have been completed to the company's satisfaction.
